Democracy is dead, oligarchy is here, and in a harrowing sign of the times, even your beloved community cover band has been transformed from a public service into a moneymaking operation. As civil rights are rolled back and Lincoln rolls in his grave, so too will two Abes roll from your wallet to ours if you want a foot in the door at Bigwigs NYE 2025. Peacock Lounge SF is a small club, and you're not in it (yet).

Luckily, as one of our most loyal supporters, you're getting first dibs on a coveted party position. Grease our palms this week to secure your spot before we open the invite to the public, and prepare for a totally deregulated, utterly irresponsible romp as we reach backwards for the musical greatness of the past in a modern world that can no longer sustain it. The material excesses will be obscene (5 horns, 2 sets of all new covers, open bar, late-night DJ) and there may be no complete recovery, but for a brief moment we'll have massively enriched our inner circle.

❤️ Congrats to band friends Ari & Dan on getting hitched over the weekend! The wedding post-pool-party gig was awesome - so many impressive singers! I think we've got the Live Band Karaoke thing down to a science. But like, a super fun party kind of science.

COMING UP: ⭐Frisbee Tryout Afterparty⭐ Sunday April 17th, 1:30pm, Hellman Hollow (west side near here).

Grab lunch and join us in the park immediately following the nearby Firefly/Classy/ABBQ joint open tryout event. We'll be hanging out and playing an impromptu mix of our classic favorites (Lizzo set for sure) and new stuff, including Happy Birthday if Karl is lucky. Requests and karaoke are always a possibility too. It's looking like typical SF summer weather, so dress warm! We're saving our coordinated romper uniforms for Palm Springs :)

Last night's top-secret ⭐April Fools' Hairy-oke Party⭐ at Studio K was a success! If you were there, thanks for making it a blast! Send us your photos and videos! We recorded all the multitrack audio, so hit us up if you want a nice mixdown of a song you (or someone else) sang.

Just got back from our second annual-ish Tahoe practice+ski weekend, a.k.a. ⭐Ski Town Classic: Toes In The Tub⭐. Shacked up at a rental in Truckee and learned a bunch of karaoke songs for our upcoming wedding gig! This year instead of Business Daddies and Pleasure Daddies, we split up into Mountain Mamas and Stay-at-home Daddies. I was gonna say this probably all means nothing to you, but realistically if you're reading this, you were there and know what I'm talking about.
